About the Training Programme

BIG Data now encompasses not only a large number of observations but also an ever-expanding number of explanatory variables — popularly known as features — necessitating new tools of analysis.

The objective of this training is to impart the econometrics and the machine learning techniques for analysing BIG Data. The teaching would be a blend of theory, real world applications, and projects using datasets from economics and finance.

Training Outcome

At the end of the training, the participants would be in a position to interpret, compare and contrast the results emanating from the alternative techniques and take an informed view of their relative efficiency. This training is valuable for students, and those in academia who have an interest in data analytics for career development
