Renowned economist Professor P Mohanan Pillai passed away in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday, 29 June 2021. The CDS is greatly saddened by the passing away of Professor P Mohanan Pillai, Honorary Fellow of the Centre . He served the Centre with great distinction as a faculty member for about three decades during 1983- 2011. Thereafter he was serving as an Honorary Fellow of the Centre. He is very well known to be an extremely kind and generous person and an excellent research student supervisor. He has made an important contribution to the understanding of issues related to technology transfer in Indian industries.
We at the CDS mourn his death and pray that his family has the strength to bear this irreparable loss not just to them but to the Centre and his large circle of admirers and students.
