The Centre for Development Studies (CDS) invites applications exclusively from candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category for admission to its PhD programme in Economics under the Special Drive Admission for the academic year 2026–27.
Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria prescribed in the Prospectus and have qualified in the UGC NET Examination for PhD admission, as per the UGC Public Notice dated 27 March 2024, are eligible to apply.
Application Procedure
Candidates may either fill in the Application Form directly in MS Word format or fill in the printed Application Form and scan the completed form.
The completed Application Form, UGC Award Letter/Score Card, and Research Proposal should be emailed to admissionphd@cds.edu on or before 30 August 2026, (5 p.m.). An application without a research proposal will not be considered.
No other certificates need to be attached.
