
CDS invites applications for its two year MA programme in Applied Economics for the academic year 2025-26. Admission is open to Indian nationals as well as students from selected SAARC countries. Eligibility, selection criteria and other details are given below:
ELIGIBILITY
• For Indian students
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50 percent of marks. SC, ST candidates and Persons with Disability (PwD) are eligible to apply irrespective of percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
• For SAARC students
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s/undergraduate degree with English as the medium of instruction and the undergraduate programme must be equivalent to an undergraduate programme of an Indian university.
NUMBER OF SEATS AND RESERVATION
Thirty three seats are available for Indian nationals and two seats are available for SAARC category. If seats remain vacant in SAARC category, such vacant seats will be made available to Indian students. CDS provides reservation as per Government of India rules.
SELECTION
The selection of candidates will be based on the scores of Common University Entrance Test – CUET (PG)-2025. SAARC candidates are exempted from the entrance test.
HOW TO APPLY
a) Indian nationals
Candidates appeared in the Common University Entrance Test – CUET (PG)-2025 conducted for the Test Paper Code COQP10 and satisfy the above mentioned eligibility criteria can apply through the link published on the website.
Application Fee is Rs. 300 and it is non-refundable. There is no application fee for candidates belonging to SC,ST, PwD (with ≥40% disability) categories. Any bank or payment gateway service charges must be borne by the applicant.
b) SAARC nationals
SAARC candidates should fill-in the application form available on the website. The filled-in application form (handwritten or typed) along with copies of marksheet , certificates and copy of passport should be emailed to admissionma@cds.edu .
There is no application fee for candidates from SAARC countries. Such candidates are exempted from the Entrance Test and will be interviewed online. Selection will be done on the basis of performance in the interview. Candidates will be informed about the schedule of the interview well in advance.
