About the Conference:

The conference is a joint collaborative effort of three national institutions to bring plantation research into centre stage and sensitize the research scholars, faculties and professionals working on plantation crops. The event is an attempt by the collaborating Institutes to promote rigorous academic and policy‐oriented research, encouraging critical thinking and interdisciplinary dialogue on the issues of plantation studies. The event would also attempt to forge linkages between academia and industry with special reference to North‐East India.

The objective of the conference is to provide a platform for researchers of plantation studies to present their original research supported by fresh field data or secondary data and produce a meaningful debate to address the sectoral challenges and knowledge production process. The conference further aims to help participants with critical feedback, intellectual exchanges from senior academicians, subject experts and form a peer group for future interventions. The conference encourages presentations on interdisciplinary perspectives in plantation research in diverse socio‐economic and geographic conditions. The conference invites papers on related themes mentioned below from across India, especially from the North‐East and its neighbourhood.

Deadline for Abstract Submission is extended to 21st September, 2025
