Workshop on Methods and Approaches to Research on Migration Issues

The Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum will organize a training workshop on Methods and Approaches to Research on Migration Issues between January 16 and 20, 2023. The workshop is supported by the Research Programme on International Migration from Kerala at the Centre for Development studies and the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India.

The course is designed to introduce participants to a range of problems, data sources, analytical frameworks and techniques related to labour migration and population movements. Approaches and methods will be discussed in the context of specific migration-related issues to provide a contextual, illustrative and grounded understanding. Sessions will deal with analytical issues arising from migration within India and across its borders and discuss both quantitative and qualitative data and methods.
