Research Methodology Workshop on Migration

The Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum proposes to organize a workshop on research methods in the study of migration between August 9 and 13, 2021. The workshop is being organized as part of the activities of the state government sponsored Research Programme on International Migration from Keralaand is open to research scholars from Indian universities and colleges as well as early career professionals in organizations working on migrant issues such as NORKA in Kerala and similar organizations in other states. The workshop will comprise online lectures and discussions focusing on data sources, analytical frameworks and issues as well as quantitative and qualitative research techniques. The sessions will cover migration within India and across its borders and there will be sessions on the challenges of researching migration in the emerging context wrought by the COVID 19 pandemic.
