PhD Admission 2020

The CDS invites applications for admission to its PhD programme in Economics. The full-time residential programme will commence on Monday, August 03, 2020. The PhD Programme admits students from any discipline. The unique aspect of the programme is its focus on Applied Economics from a plural perspective and adaptation of effective learning tools.

The degree is awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

Important instruction for submitting application forms for admission to PhD Programme

Due to the all India lockdown and the consequent disruptions in communication, the candidates can now submit their application forms for admission to the  MA and PhD programmes through email also. The candidates can either send the scanned copy of filled up Application Form and  Hall-ticket attached to an email Or they can fill in the softcopy of the application and hall ticket available for download in MS -Word format from this website.

For email submission of applications:

(i) Only filled in application, hall ticket and research proposal are required to send as attachments; copies of other certificates, mentioned in our prospectus, are not required at this stage.

(ii) Please make sure that the applicant’s photos are affixed at the required places both in the Application form and in the Hall ticket.

(iii) The application fee can be paid through a bank transfer. The instructions for this are as follows:

In case of online transfer, please indicate the UTR/Transaction ID number in the space provided in the application form to furnish DD details. SBI remitters are requested to attach a copy of the transaction slip along with the application.
